چکیده
This study presents the effects of exogenous melatonin application at different concentrations (50, 100, and 200 ?M) on morphological, physiological, antioxidant defense systems buttercup plant under salinity stress (4.5 5.5 dS·m?1 EC). Expectedly, negatively affected growth parameters, cell membrane stability, POX enzyme activity R. asiaticus compared to non-stressed plants. However, in a dose-dependent manner, foliar decreased salt stress-induced symptoms retarded vegetative growth, physiological characteristics, oxidative level. The results obtained, revealed significant effectiveness treatment ?M concentration conditions by enhancing traits such as chlorophyll carotenoids content, relative water proline peroxidase (POD), electrolyte leakage rate, Na+ well delaying emergence flower buds stress. tolerance index percentages (STI%) for all estimated characters are also calculated studied parameters. uncovered beneficial effect reducing that can be used reduce ranunculus production.

متن کاملMorpho-physiological and biochemical properties of Carum copticum (L.): effects of salicylic acid
Salicylic acid (SA) is a phenolic compound and its foliar application shows regulatory effects on plants. In this research, Ajowan (Carum copticum) plants were treated with 0, 0.5, and 1 mM SA and proline, total phenol, chlorophylls, carotenoids, soluble sugar, N, P, and K contents were studied. Results showed that application of SA affected both quantitative and qualitative traits of ...
متن کاملExogenous Melatonin Confers Salt Stress Tolerance to Watermelon by Improving Photosynthesis and Redox Homeostasis
Melatonin, a pleiotropic signal molecule, has been shown to play important roles in the regulation of plant growth, development, and responses to environmental stresses. Since a few species have been investigated to unveil the effect of exogenous melatonin on salt stress, the underlying mechanism of melatonin-mediated salt stress tolerance in other plant species still remains largely unknown. I...
